OS2 is an excellence of the Italian design and winner of the compasso d’oro, awarded for its capability to improve and innovate the today’s window and door industry. Designed by Secco Sistemi, OS2 is a suite of profiles to construct Metal Windows and Doors characterized by extreme narrow sightlines, versatility and everlasting, prestigious materials (steel, cor-ten, stainless steel 316 and Architectural Bronze).

Born to fulfill the increasing need of energy savings and upgrade historical or heritage buildings, OS2 has allowed, for the first time ever, to create Thermally Broken Steel and Bronze Windows and Doors able to evoke the narrow sightlines of the old fascinating FerroFinestra window and door systems widely used in the 19th, 20th centuries.

Greatly appreciated by architects and designers for its revolutionary design, OS2 represents the first thermally broken profile that gives you the opportunity to provide equal shapes for all the metal frames included in the project. Recognize a fixed, from an operable, or a door from a bifold, rather than, a lift and slide door, has never been so difficult. The minimal frames are designed to be essential and obtain the maximum glass transparency.

In the BV variant, the beveled angled shapes of the sash externally and the glazing bead internally are symmetrical with respect to the glass, perfectly centered on the frame, hence characterizing the frame by giving the external elevation the same depth and aesthetics of the internal one.

Differently the OS2-40 variant, is the metal frame without thermal interruption, created for interior design projects. The frames reproduce the same design of the external window and doors giving more continuity between the interiors and the external building envelope.

OS2 40

Windows and doors fabricated from cold roll-formed steel frames having visual sections that vary from 1 1/16” (27 mm) to 2 7/16” (62 mm) for the central node and a depth suitable to house single or double glazing panes. OS2-40 mimics the shapes and dimensions of the thermally broken windows and doors made of OS2-65 or OS2-75 and it is ideal to maintain the same design concept also for the interior units.

Windows and doors fabricated from thermally broken metal frames having visual sections that vary from 1 1/16” (27 mm) to 2 7/16” (62 mm) for the central node and a depth suitable to house double glazing panes.

With over 40 metal profiles, OS2-65 offers maximum flexibility creating facades with minimized sightlines or unifying the design of the casements with the fixed windows. The minimal profiles are carefully designed so that each line and each bend are essential to obtain the maximum level of glass transparency.

OS2 75

Windows and doors fabricated from thermally broken metal frames having visual sections that vary from 1 1/16” (27 mm) to 2 7/16” (62 mm) for the central node and a depth suitable to house double and triple glazing panes. In addition to the features of OS2-65, OS2-75 adds the capability capability to fabricate Bifold doors, Lift and sliding Doors or Tilt and Turn windows with the same exact visual look of all the other units included in the project. OS2-75 is an evolution of OS2-75, profiles are deeper but maintain the same aesthetic look.

OS2 BV

Windows and doors fabricated from thermally broken metal frames having visual sections that vary from 1 1/16” (27 mm) to 2 7/16” (62 mm) for the central node and a depth suitable to house double and triple glazing panes. The beveled angle shape is added on the interior and exterior window and door face centering the glass respectful the frame depth. The result is a complete symmetrical window and doors that is identical from the interior and exterior face.
